Day 2: Immersive Local Experience in Hanoi (B, L, G)

Your day begins at the break of dawn with a visit to the serene Hoan Kiem Lake, a central piece of Hanoi’s soul, followed by a stop at Ngoc Son Temple that sits on a quiet island in the middle of the lake.

A short walk from the lake leads you to a traditional coffee shop where the robust flavoUrs of Vietnamese ‘Ca phe sua da’ await. For the adventurous, the thick and creamy ‘Egg coffee’ offers a unique taste experience. Energised, you’ll delve into the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter where the city’s French colonial past echoes through the architecture.

Your cultural exploration takes you to the St. Joseph Cathedral, an emblem of Gothic design from 1886, and later to the poignant Hoa Lo Prison, which tells stories of its former prisoners through time. Lunch is an affair of ‘Bun Cha’, Hanoi’s very own culinary masterpiece, after which you visit the Temple of Literature, an ancient site of scholarship.

Day 3: Journey from Hanoi to Ba Be National Park (B, L, D, G)

After disembarking, a short drive takes you to Cho Ra for lunch, followed by a picturesque drive to Cao Bang. The journey continues through the towns of Quang Uyen and Trung Khanh, each offering glimpses of rural Vietnamese life, before arriving at your accommodation near the spectacular Ban Gioc Waterfall. Day 5: Exploration of Ban Gioc Waterfall and Journey to Lang Son (B, L, G)

After a full day of exploration, return to the main boat to relax and enjoy another night amidst the calm and splendor of Lan Ha Bay.

Day 9: Departure from Lan Ha Bay to Ho Chi Minh City (Brunch, DP in Ha Long Bay, GP in Ho Chi Minh City)

Rise early to soak in the serene beauty of Lan Ha Bay with a final Tai Chi session on the sundeck, the cool morning breeze complementing the gentle movements. Following this, a light breakfast is served as you continue to admire the picturesque landscape.

Today’s adventure includes a canoe trip to explore the captivating Sang Toi cave, a hidden gem within the bay, offering a quiet escape and unique rock formations. After kayaking around the Ao Ech area, you return to the boat to refresh and check out, enjoying a brunch while cruising back to the pier.

Once on land, a driver will escort you back to Hanoi and directly to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, another guide will greet you and facilitate your transfer to the hotel, where the evening is yours to relax or explore the dynamic energy of this southern metropolis.

Day 10: Excursion to Nam Cat Tien National Park (B, L, D, G)

After breakfast, a scenic drive takes you away from the urban pulse of Ho Chi Minh City to the lush landscapes of Nam Cat Tien National Park. Covering an area of approximately 74,000 hectares, this park is a biodiversity hotspot, home to a myriad of flora and fauna, including several endangered species.

Upon arrival, a 5-kilometre bike ride along rugged trails offers a thrilling introduction to the dense forest. You might choose to visit the War Remnants Museum for a poignant look at Vietnam’s war history, stroll through the historic district to admire the French colonial architecture, or indulge in some last-minute shopping at Ben Thanh Market, a bustling marketplace that offers everything from souvenirs to local delicacies.

As your Vietnam journey comes to an end, a private car will take you to the airport, where you depart filled with memories of diverse landscapes, rich history, and warm Vietnamese hospitality.
