Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi (D, GP)

Upon your arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, our team will be there to greet you and transport you to your hotel, allowing you ample time to unwind and settle in after your travels.

Later in the day, your Vespa experience awaits. Your skilled riders will guide you through an exploration of Hanoi’s vibrant nightlife. We’ll kick off the adventure at a charming café in the heart of the city, offering picturesque views of St. Joseph’s Cathedral. Here, we’ll indulge in delectable snacks from nearby street vendors before hopping onto our Vespa scooters. Meandering through the narrow alleys of the Old Quarter, we’ll arrive at a captivating local spot nestled close to the railroad tracks. Here, you’ll savor infused rice wine and local delicacies, immersing yourself in the authentic flavors of Hanoi.

Our culinary journey continues as we venture to gastronomic delights, sampling the iconic dishes of Hanoi and learning the art of Vietnamese wrap ‘n’ roll along the shores of West Lake. The evening culminates at a lively jazz club adjacent to the Hanoi Opera House. Prepare to be mesmerized by a fusion of 1930s jazz and traditional Vietnamese melodies performed by a live band. Join us for a delightful and unforgettable foodie experience.

*Should your international flight experience delays, we’ll ensure you don’t miss out on the Vespa Evening Foodie adventure by rescheduling it to the 4th day, after your return from Halong Bay.

Day 2: Hanoi to Hai Phong to Lan Ha Bay on Violet Cruise (B in Hanoi, GP, L, D, G on Board)

After breakfast in Hanoi, you will be picked up for a journey to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning limestone karst formations. Upon arrival, you’ll step aboard a traditional wooden junk and enjoy a delightful lunch served on deck as you cruise through this breathtaking landscape.

Your first destination is Cua Van floating fishing village, where you’ll have the chance to explore Tien Ong cave, a recently discovered marvel dating back to ancient civilisations. Led by our knowledgeable guide, you’ll traverse through the cave, learning about its historical significance and unique features. Afterwards, immerse yourself in the charm of the fishing village with a serene bamboo boat ride guided by local fishermen.

As the day unfolds, take in the unparalleled beauty of Halong Bay during the enchanting “blue hour” as you sail towards the overnight mooring area at Luom Bo. Relax on the sun deck with your favorite drink, soaking in the tranquility of the moment.

In the afternoon, indulge in a Vietnamese cooking class presented by our onboard chef, or treat yourself to a refreshing drink at the bar or a rejuvenating massage. Lunch and dinner will be served in the elegant wood-panelled dining area aboard your boat, carefully avoiding crowded spots to ensure a serene evening.

Your accommodation for this excursion is the luxurious Violet Cruise, a masterpiece of wooden craftsmanship inspired by traditional Vietnamese court vessels. Featuring spacious, air-conditioned cabins with panoramic bay views, marble bathrooms, Jacuzzi, and private balconies, the Violet Cruise offers unparalleled comfort. With amenities including a boutique dining room, library & lounge, spa & gym, and six individually themed cabins, including four Suite cabins with ample amenities, your stay promises both luxury and relaxation. Savor sumptuous meals crafted from fresh seafood and unwind in style amidst the natural splendor of Ha Long Bay.

Day 3: Violet Cruising Ha long Bay on Day Trip Boat “Sunset” (B, L, D, G on Board)

During your three-day cruise, you’ll transition to the “Sunset,” a day-trip boat on your second day. The day begins with breakfast served as the boat embarks towards the Surprise cave. Upon returning to the Sunset, take a moment to unwind as you venture deeper into the enchanting Halong Bay. Here, you’ll have the opportunity for another enchanting exploration of the bay’s hidden gems. Glide through the mystical waters via kayak, surrounded by towering cliffs and verdant islets, immersing yourself in the tranquility of this natural wonderland.

Lunch awaits back on board in the restaurant as the Sunset boat continues its journey to a floating Pearl farm, where you’ll gain insight into the cultivation and processing of pearls. Following the visit, leisurely sail back to the mother ship. Once aboard, take advantage of the spa facilities or bask in the sun as we navigate to the overnight anchorage spot.

While the facilities on the smaller boat may be more limited compared to the Violet, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to cruise the remote areas of the bay, away from the tourist crowds.

Please note that the cruise schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions or operational policies.

Day 4: Ha Long Bay & Return To Hanoi (B, L, G on Board, DP in Hanoi)

Start the day with an early light breakfast pastry and tea or coffee. After a Tai Chi session on the large sundeck (beginners welcome!), the boat continues to sail to Titop Island. We set over by tender to this little landmass in the bay. Prepare yourself for a refreshing morning swim on a sandy beach beneath high rock formations. If you prefer to be more active climb up to the hill top of Titop Island from where you have stunning views over Halong Bay (it is 400 stone steps up which takes about 20 minutes to the top, minimal fitness and proper footwear is required). There is also a viewing platform about half-way up with great panoramic views.

The ship will be docking around noon where your private Car is awaiting to take you back to Hanoi. You’ll arrive your hotel in Hanoi by mid-afternoon, check in your hotel and free at leisure. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.
