Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi – Welcome to Vietnam (GP)
Arrive in the bustling capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, where your private guide will greet you at Noi Bai International Airport. After a warm welcome, you'll be transferred to your hotel in the historic Old Quarter, a district brimming with colonial architecture, vibrant street life, and traditional shops. Spend the remainder of the day at your leisure – relax after your flight or venture out for an evening walk around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour & Street Food Delights (B, Street Food, G)
After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the Vietnam Fine Art Museum, where centuries of history are captured through exquisite paintings, sculptures, and folk art. Next, explore the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, established in the 11th century, and a symbol of the country’s deep respect for education.
Continue to Hoa Lo Prison, often referred to as the "Hanoi Hilton," where you'll learn about Vietnam’s colonial and wartime history. In the afternoon, delve into Hanoi’s legendary street food scene with your guide, sampling dishes such as Pho (beef noodle soup), Bun Cha (grilled pork with noodles), Banh Cuon (steamed rice rolls), and more. As you wander through the Old Quarter, enjoy the unique atmosphere of narrow alleys filled with the aromas of sizzling woks and fragrant herbs.

Day 3: Journey to Mai Chau – Explore Ethnic Villages & Caves (B, L, D, G)
Depart Hanoi and head west toward the mountainous region of Mai Chau, known for its scenic landscapes and traditional ethnic minority communities. Enjoy a peaceful drive through winding roads, with rice paddies and limestone cliffs lining the way.
Check in at Mai Chau Lodge and enjoy lunch before visiting Mo Luong Cave, also known as Soldier Cave, rich in both natural beauty and legend. Your guide will share stories of its historical use and symbolic meaning.
In the afternoon, take a gentle walk to Pom Coong and Lac villages, home to the Thai ethnic minority. Learn about their weaving traditions, cultural customs, and sustainable community living. The warm hospitality of the locals and the serene setting make this an unforgettable part of your Vietnam journey.

Day 4: Hiking in Mai Chau – Return to Hanoi (B, L, G)
After breakfast, take a short drive to Na Cut village, the starting point of your soft hiking adventure. Walk through bamboo forests, terraced rice fields, and remote Thai villages where few tourists venture. The trail winds along Pu Poc Mountain and reveals panoramic views of the lush countryside.
Stop to chat with villagers and take in the sights of traditional stilt houses surrounded by cassava and corn fields. Reach Cha Long village and enjoy a peaceful walk beneath the protective forest canopy before returning to the lodge for lunch.
After check-out, travel back to Hanoi, where you'll arrive in the early evening and check in to your hotel.

Day 5: Ha Long Bay – Begin Overnight Cruise (B, L, D, DP, G)
After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Marina, check in and board the luxurious Peony Cruise.
Enjoy a welcome drink and a delicious lunch as the boat sails through the dramatic limestone karsts of Ha Long and Lan Ha Bays. In the afternoon, kayak or take a bamboo boat to explore Dark and Bright Cave, or visit the serene beaches of Ba Trai Dao if weather permits.
As the sun sets, join a cooking demonstration on deck and take advantage of the Happy Hour at the bar. In the evening, savour a beautifully prepared dinner and unwind with squid fishing or stargazing from the sundeck.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch before beginning a city tour that includes:
