Itinerary

Day 1: Sapa/Hands-on handicraft (B, L, G)

At 8:30am, a car will take you to Ta Phin village, known for its traditional customs and garment pattern weaving.

9:00am - Weaving introductory session and hands-on about 30 minutes

9:30am - Black H’mong Batik introductory session of tools, style and hands-on about 30 minutes

10:00am - Dyeing of batik introductory session and hands-on about 30 minutes

10:30am - Hmong/Vietnamese cooking brief introductory about 1hour 30minutes

12:00pm - Lunch and rest

1:30pm - Trek from Handicraft workshop to a cave where locals ask for blessings to help their children recover from illness

2:30pm - Embroidery introductory session and hands-on about 2hours

4:30pm - Drive back to your hotel.

You will spend the night in Sapa.

Day 2: Sapa/Hanoi by bus (B, L, G) 

After breakfast, you’ll hike down a scenic valley calling in at the H’mong ethnic minority villages on the way. After a picnic lunch, you’ll be transferred to the bus station to board your bus back to Hanoi. You should arrive at your hotel in Hanoi around 21.00 and spend the night in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi/Bat Trang Ceramic Village/Hanoi (B, G)

After breakfast you have a free morning in Hanoi.

After lunch you will visit Bat Trang Village, famous for producing fine ceramics. Your guide will take you through the busy tourist area to the much quieter old part of the village right on the river. There you can stroll the narrow streets to observe the time-honoured manufacturing processes still in use and meet the ceramic artisans. You will also explore the Bat Trang Museum, Bat Trang market and have some hands-on activities in making ceramic product, then bring home as a souvenir.

You will arrive at your hotel in Hanoi in late afternoon and spend the night in Hanoi.

Your adventure continues with a scenic hike through the valleys of Sapa, visiting H’mong ethnic villages along the way. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning natural beauty before being transferred to the bus station for your return journey to Hanoi, where you’ll arrive in the evening.

The final day of your experience takes you to Bat Trang Ceramic Village, renowned for its fine ceramics and traditional pottery-making techniques. Wander through the quieter, old part of the village and observe local artisans crafting their wares. Visit the Bat Trang Museum to learn about the history of ceramics in Vietnam, and enjoy hands-on activities where you’ll create your own ceramic piece to take home as a souvenir. Afterward, return to Hanoi for your overnight stay.
