10-Day Vietnam Family Adventure: Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City

Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport. Meet your pre-arranged driver for the transfer to your Hanoi hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a gentle walk near Hoan Kiem Lake or simply rest after your flight. No scheduled sightseeing is assumed for a late arrival.

Visit selected highlights such as the Vietnam Women's Museum and Temple of Literature, with a possible stop at Hoa Lo Prison if suitable for the family's interests. Explore the Old Quarter by foot and private vehicle, pausing to sample Vietnamese dishes at trusted local stops where practical. A water-puppet performance can finish the day when tickets and timings permit. Motorbike riding is not part of the default family plan.

Leave Hanoi early for a day visit to Ha Long Bay. Board the confirmed day-cruise vessel and see the limestone islands. The ship's actual route may include Sung Sot Cave or a kayaking or bamboo-boat stop, subject to the operator, weather and children's age restrictions. Return to Hanoi in the evening; this is not an overnight cruise. Allow for a long day on the road and water.

Enjoy the lantern-lit streets at your own pace; not all sightseeing stops can be promised on a late-arriving flight.

Meet local hosts in Hoi An's countryside for a hands-on introduction to herb gardens, traditional farming and riverside life. Depending on local conditions, try a short basket-boat experience through the water-coconut area with a trained operator. Explore by walking or private vehicle; no cycling tour or animal-riding activity is required. Enjoy time to rest or return to Hoi An Old Town afterwards.

Transfer from Hoi An to Da Nang railway station for the train to Nha Trang. Depending on the service and date, this leg can take roughly nine to eleven hours and should be treated as a travel day. Bring snacks, water and children's essentials. On arrival, meet the arranged driver and transfer to your hotel. Train class and exact departure and arrival times must be checked before booking.

Explore Nha Trang's cultural sights, potentially including Po Nagar Cham Towers and a local craft venue, depending on opening hours. Leave free time for a relaxed afternoon by the beach or hotel pool. A more active forest excursion may be available on request for appropriately aged travellers, but high-adrenaline activities are excluded from the standard itinerary and require a separate supplier and safety check.

Transfer to Cam Ranh airport for the planned domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City. After hotel check-in, explore selected neighbourhoods and taste local dishes during an evening family food experience, with walking and private-car transfers instead of default scooter rides. Discuss children's food preferences and allergies in advance. Exact stops depend on arrival time and supplier arrangements.

Visit the Can Gio mangrove area south-east of Ho Chi Minh City for a guided look at coastal wetland ecology and conservation. A licensed local operator may arrange a boat section or Vam Sat visit, subject to weather, access and the children's ages. Wildlife must be observed from a safe distance; animal feeding and close-contact encounters are not included. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the evening. Can Gio is a coastal mangrove reserve, not a Mekong Delta excursion.

Enjoy free time if your flight schedule allows, followed by your pre-arranged private transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
