About This Tour

A 4-day Da Lat city and countryside tour from Ho Chi Minh City

Discover the cooler highlands of Da Lat on a 4-day, 3-night private, tailor-made journey beginning and ending in Ho Chi Minh City. Enjoy flower gardens, peaceful lake scenery, Buddhist heritage, local markets and the agricultural villages around Da Lat, with a comfortable balance of sightseeing and time to relax.

The proposed itinerary uses domestic flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Lien Khuong Airport, subject to the airline’s operating schedule and availability on your dates. The airport reopened in August 2026 after runway works, but individual flights, baggage, fares and transfers must be checked before booking. Hotel arrangements, guiding, meals and entrance fees will be itemised in a personalised written quotation, not assumed included without confirmation.

What makes this Da Lat trip special?

  • Da Lat city: a gentle introduction to Xuan Huong Lake, local markets, highland food and flower-growing traditions.
  • Tuyen Lam Lake and Truc Lam Zen Monastery: pine forests, a serene Buddhist setting and optional cable-car views if services are operating.
  • Local history: discover Bao Dai’s Summer Palace or a similar open cultural landmark with a guide, at a pace that suits your group.
  • Country life: learn about coffee cultivation, flower farms, craft production and local food around Ta Nung and Nam Ban, depending on available hosts.
  • Flexible nature stops: view highland landscapes without requiring risky waterfall descents or strenuous hikes.
  • Private planning: customise hotel standards, accessibility, rest breaks, airport transfers and optional sunrise experiences.

Who is this tour for?

Couples, friends, independent travellers and families who enjoy culture, gardens, nature and countryside visits without a demanding adventure programme. Most activities involve short walks, roads with curves and some steps; please tell Haivenu about mobility needs in advance. This is not a cycling or motorbike tour.

Four days, three nights: travel plan

Fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat on Day 1, explore city landmarks and Tuyen Lam Lake on Day 2, visit countryside farms and viewpoints on Day 3, then return by air to Ho Chi Minh City on Day 4. If flight schedules are unsuitable, Haivenu can discuss alternative ground arrangements and quote them separately.

Important access note: Elephant Waterfall’s main visitor entrance was reported closed in September 2026. This itinerary does not promise entry to the waterfall. Any nearby safe viewpoint or Linh An Pagoda visit is subject to current access and local conditions. Cloud hunting, the cable car, attractions and farm visits can also change with weather and operating hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a four-day private tour?

Yes. This is a proposed 4-day/3-night private, tailor-made land itinerary. Private ground transport and the specific guided services are set out in the final written quotation; airline travel is a scheduled public service.

Does this tour include return flights from Ho Chi Minh City?

Not automatically. The route plans flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Lien Khuong Airport, but flight tickets, taxes, baggage and times are included only when specifically listed in the quotation. Other transfer options can be discussed.

Is Lien Khuong Airport open again?

Lien Khuong Airport resumed operations on 19 August 2026 after runway works. Airline schedules can still change, so Haivenu checks your intended travel dates and suitable routes before confirming arrangements.

Can we enter Elephant Waterfall?

The main Elephant Waterfall visitor entrance was reported closed in September 2026. This tour does not guarantee waterfall access or a descent to the base. Your guide can check for a lawful and safe viewpoint near Linh An Pagoda or substitute another countryside stop.

Is an early-morning cloud-hunting trip included?

No. Cloud or sunrise viewing is an optional early outing that requires your agreement and separate confirmation. Visibility depends on weather and cannot be guaranteed.

Can we use the cable car at Truc Lam Zen Monastery?

A cable-car ride may be arranged if it is operating and appropriate for your group. It is not guaranteed and its ticket is only included if specifically confirmed in the quote.

Which hotel will we stay at?

Three nights are planned in Da Lat. The hotel's name, room category, room sharing, breakfast arrangements, availability and cancellation terms will be provided in your personalised proposal.

Is this tour suitable for families and older travellers?

The pace can be adjusted and most sightseeing can use short walks. Mountain roads can be winding, and some viewpoints and heritage attractions involve steps. Tell Haivenu about children's ages, mobility needs and rest breaks before booking.

When is the best time for a Da Lat tour?

December to March is generally Da Lat's drier season, with relatively cool temperatures. From April into November rain is more frequent, and individual activities may need adjustment.

Are lunches and admission fees included?

Only meals, tickets and activities explicitly listed as included in the written quote are part of the package. There is no fixed universal package price or inclusion list without selecting travel dates and services.

Will we taste crickets or local alcohol?

No tasting is required. If a farm visit is confirmed, you can observe local farming or food production without consuming insects or alcohol; tell the guide about allergies or dietary preferences.

Do we need travel insurance?

Travel insurance with medical, cancellation and disruption coverage is strongly recommended. Review your coverage for domestic flights and any additional activities.

How do we customise or book this tour?

Send Haivenu your dates, party size, hotel category, interests, airport plans and any accessibility needs. We will confirm the itinerary, services, total price and terms in writing before any booking commitment.
